10-31-2016 - Halloween

Kara had preschool on Halloween. So we got her dressed and walked her to school. Afterwards, we worked out and got ready for the day. Matt had to leave for work at 2:30, so we went trick-or-treating at my work.

Video - Logan being creepy and saying "Hello"

Matt painting Logan's face to go trick-or-treating at my work. We then went to pick up Kara from preschool and headed out for a couple hours of fun.

After trick-or-treating, we went to Matt's parents to see them for about 1 1/2 hours. We ate lunch with them and then let the kids take a treat back home.

Well, we had naptime. Matt got ready for work and left. I went and got pumpkin pepperoni pizza for dinner and then we waited for Kali, Leili, Kyla, and my mom to come eat with us.

I wanted to be trick-or-treating by 6pm, so it would be light enough for the kids to see for a while and warm enough too. We were a little behind schedule since the kids weren't eating very well and trying to take their pictures was kind of a joke.

Picture time ended and we were off to the races. Literally! Kara and Leili ran the whole time. Racing to the houses to see who could ring the door bell first. We finally got them to take turns and keep track or whose turn it was.

I lagged behind caring Logan the whole time, but we had fun. He would say trick-or-treat and thank you. The funny part was he wouldn't let go of the candy until the next house. He would see that he was going to get some more candy, turn around to me and say "bag", put the candy in the bag, and then say trick-or-treat again. Process would repeat itself all over again.

We trick-or-treated my neighborhood. It is pretty much a big circle with 92 house. So we went around the inner circle first. Shawn and Kyla were cold so we came back to my house, dropped them off and dumped the candy out to have lighter bags for the kids. Then out we went again!

We were out for about 2 hours. The kids were done about 4 houses away from mine. So as soon as we got home, Kali left. I put the kids in the tub and then my mom read them a book.

We brushed teeth, said prayers, and then went to bed. I sat down relieved not to be caring Logan anymore. Till next year!
