Matt Graduated!!!!!!!

Matt is finally finished with school! No more homework, tests, classes, or clinicals hours!

He has spent basically the last 8 1/2 years in school. The whole time I have known him.

He has 1 Bachelors Degree, 3 Associates Degrees, and 3 Licenses in Radiology (Radiology Technologist, MRI Technologist, and CT Technologist).

If you want the crazy story with how so many came about, you will have to ask. Each was a stepping stone to get his Bachelors though.

Matt graduated from Weber State University on December 9th, 2011. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Advanced Radiological Sciences, Emphasis in Magnetic Resonance Imaging/Computer Tomography. It is a mouthful! He also graduated Summa Cum Laude, which means he had a 3.9 grade point average or higher.

It was a typical graduation ceremony, but it was fun texting Matt through most of it and talking to David while he took pictures of Matt. Thanks David!

Here are the pictures from the event as many people weren't able to attend due to the time, distance, and kids too.  Thank you to those who were able to come though!

Our friend, Kyle, also graduated with his Bachelors. He was also talking to his wife
on the phone to get her attention.

This is only half that graduated.

Matt is his official graduation picture! He looks and is SO smart!

Oops, his tassel got him.

Hats off to the graduate. It is all over now!

We ended up going to Texas Roadhouse for the Matt's graduation dinner.
Nice and cozy with his parents, my dad, and Gram.

Hats off to you Mattie!
Congrats!
I love you and am so happy you are DONE!
Now, we can have fun!

Fun with the nephews!

My sister, Lyndsay, and her family live outside of the state. Her husband, David, has been working to get his "lineman" certification for the past couple of years. To do this, they have had to travel all over the United States where ever the work takes him, but he just received his certification. Now he is looking for a job with an electrical company.

So while David is out on location for the next two weeks, Lyndsay decided to come and stay and my parents' house to be here for Christmas. This past weekend, we (Lyndsay, Kali, and the two boys, Jayden and Braxton) went to my mom's ward Christmas party. We were still hunger after eating, so we went to Wendy's and got some food. YUMMY!

After we were finished eating, Jayden asked me if I wanted to play.

I asked him what he wanted to play.

He let me know he wanted to play teddy bear. --This game works with Jayden going to hide. I go find him and check him (tickle him) to make sure all his stuffing is still in. It is really cute.

After we played once, it was time for him to go to bed. After Lyndsay and I put them to bed and closed the door, we had the following conversation with Jayden.

Jayden: "Mom?"
Lyndsay: "What Jayden?"
Jayden: "I have something nice to tell Abbie."
Lyndsay: "Go ahead"
Me: "Jayden, I am out here. What did you want to say?"
Jayden: "Abbie, I love you!"

My heart melted right then and there. Jayden is the cutest and most polite little 4 year old boy I have met.

Love him, so much. I will miss when they are gone again

Here are a couple of pictures from the weekend.

Braxton. He sat between Lyndsay and I. He loved dancing during the Christmas music.

Jayden. Cute smile!

Nissy (what I call Lyndsay) with Braxton.

They were harder than a rock the next day!

Baptism in Vernal, Utah

My longest and oldest friend, Sherry, lives in Vernal, Utah and always has lived down in that part of the state. I was invited to her daughter, Maddie (aka Madison), baptism on December 3rd. I missed her blessing when she was born and didn't want to miss her baptism. So I made a trip to Vernal for the special event.

It was fun. When I got there, Sherry and I stayed up talking until late. The next morning, I french braided Maddie's hair. We then got dressed for the baptism.

It was fun watching Bart baptize and confirm Maddie. It even made me cry a little. I can't wait to be able to watch Matt use his priesthood with our kids one day.

Here are a couple of pictures of the special event:

It is strange being able to watch kids grow up.

My New Niece arrived on 12/5/2011...Lydia Naomi

My newest niece arrived a little ahead of schedule. My sister, Chelsey, was suppose to be induced on Tuesday, December 6th. This was so my mom could fly out on December 5th to Washington to help with Arlee. Well, Lydia decided to surprise everyone. Chelsey went into labor around 2am and had Lydia around 6am.

My mom has now been up in Washington for a little over a week and we get pictures texted to us at least once a day.

Here are a couple of my favorite. I miss being able to see her and miss Arlee too! Wish they could come back to home!

She is sooo tiny!

The Funniest Laugh

My sister was here for Thanksgiving and she showed me this video of my nephew Braxton climbing into his playpen. The best part is his older brother is in the background. At the very end, you can hear him laughing. It makes me giggle just typing this. Watch and listen and see if this makes you smile.
