1st Hiking Trip 5-31-2016

After a long Memorial Day Monday, we hit the hills for our first hike (Memory Grove and City Creek Canyon) of the year. Logan in the hiking backpack, Kara mostly walking even on the scary parts at the end of the trail. I carried her for about a 20 minute reprieve down the hill, but she walked about a total of 3 miles for her first hike. We ended with a picnic lunch. Nice relaxing day and it also helped our muscles loosen after the previous day.

Cement Removal 5-30-2016

Memorial Day - We played on the cement. It took about 8 hours from start to finish, but we removed 13 tons of cement from my parents backyard to start their house renovation. Matt worked the jack hammer. Kali and I were the muscle on the ends of the wheelbarrows, either loading the wheelbarrows with cement or throwing cement into the dump truck, wheelbarrow movers were Brady, Jake, and Shawn. Everyone helped and the kids were pretty good to. Kyla and Logan did a good job sleeping during naptimes and the noise.

Picnic outside.

After the cement removal, we had dinner at home and then headed out to Terri's house (where I ride horses) for an evening fire and s'mores. Kara and Logan got to hold a kitten and Kara got to also ride on Pinestar.

Fun with Elswoods 5-29-2016

We went to the Elswoods for Dinner on Sunday, May 29th. We had some fantastic chicken and pineapple. After dinner, we went for a walk down to see the horses. The kids loved feeding the horses. David luckily had his knife with him and was able to cut some grass pretty easily for the 4 kids. We don't live close but love spending time together. I can't believe how fast they are all growing up. Age ranging from 9 to 1 years old.

Temple Date 5-27-2016

It has been awhile since we went to the Temple together. For some reason my last memory of going was before Logan was born, so over a year. Now that I am not nursing, my goal is to try once a month or at least once every 2 months. I know we have a ton of temples where I live and people have to travel hours to get to one, but with the Jordan River Temple closed for renovations, it seems a bit harder. It is a much longer wait, which means longer at the babysitters.

But we made it to the Bountiful Temple on May 27th. Matt's parents watched the kids. We made it to the 11:00am session. I received my endowments at the Bountiful Temple almost 12 years ago.

After the session was completed, we went out for lunch at Palates and Plates. Again somewhere we have never been before. It was pretty good.

We got the kids from Matt's parents and went home and had naptime. After naps, we went out for Frozen Yogurt and stayed to see the Live band and enjoy the music before bedtime. Such a lovely and peaceful day with my Matt.

Home Hair Salon Day 5-22-2016

Kara will randomly want to do my hair. Well today, May 22, was one of those days. She brought down all her hair bows and we did our hair.
