12-24-2016 - Chrsitmas Eve

We have kinda developed a tradition for the Christmas time to spend Christmas Eve morning with Matt's family and Christmas Day evening with my family.

This year wasn't any different. We planned to have brunch at Matt's parents with Brian, Amy and their kids. We had a lot of food to eat and then headed downstairs to open presents.

Matt's mom handed out the kids' presents. Kara received Dory the movie and Logan got a cookie monster suitcase type thing with numbers and cookies in it. We got a much needed folding table and chairs. We are always having to borrow them from his parents or mine.

We gave Matt's dad a Disneyland blanket from our trip in March 2016 together and Matt's mom an angel necklace with warm socks.

We played for awhile and then went home for naps. I caught Matt cuddling with Kara for naptime with him almost falling asleep. Lets just say Matt also had a nap during naptime too.

We went out to IHOP for dinner. We have spent the last 3 or 4 Christmas Eve's going out to dinner since we don't have anywhere else to go and I don't want to cook.

Kara and Matt put cookies and a cup out for Santa. Kara wanted to put milk in the cup, but we told her Santa likes his milk cold and knows where the fridge is at. We also put out some carrots for the reindeer.

After the kids went to bed, we put my parents present together. Some of the kids went in on their present together. They have been wanting a number of things for their house remodel, so I thought money would be the best present so they could get want they wanted. But we gave it to them in a fun way.
