Valentine's Day Weekend 2-13-2016 to 2-15-2016

Matt worked Valentine's weekend, so I spent the time with Kara and Logan. We did have heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphy on 2/13/2016. Kara and I also painted our nails one day while Logan was asleep. It was Stake Conference, so we ended up not going as Matt was already asleep and I didn't want to take Logan and Kara by myself. We ended up doing chocolate covered strawberries and pretzels.  We had fun eating them and then sending to work with Matt. On 2-15-2016, the weather was nice enough to get out and go for a walk. Plus Logan learned to climb on Kara's table in our play area upstairs.

Super Bowl 2-7-2016

Well we are football people, but it was my family's week for dinner, so my mom had a small super bowl party. We ate dinner in the basement and watched the game. Well I attempted to play with Kyla, but she just screamed so I took her as far away from Kali as I could get and practice trying to get her to stop crying. She stopped for about 5 minutes. So I caught a few pictures of us together before Logan could find me and want me to pick him up too. 

Ice Castle - 2-5-2016

We have a tradition every year with Matt's parents to put together ginger bread houses in December. Well, I bought this "ice castles" house thinking it would be easy like a gingerbread house. NOPE. There were so many stages and so much time needing to wait in between stages that we decided to save it for a free fun night of needing something to do. So we finally got around to it on February 5th. It was fun to put together but took us 5 hours. It also tasted really good to eat too!

Logan getting teeth 2-3-2016

Logan was quite fussy for a couple days and not sleeping until we realized that he was teething. Red cheeks, runny nose, slight fever, and a little cranky. We thought he had a cold until one night I looked into his mouth. 2 teeth. Kara never showed any signs of teething until they popped through.

Snow Day 1-25-2016

It snowed again, so we took full advantage and took the kids sledding. Logan didn't like it very much after going down the first time. He started warming up to it until Matt and I had a snowball fight and he got hit with one of the deflected snowballs. 

When we got home, Kara and Matt made a snowman while I fixed the hot chocolate and put Logan down for a nap.

He turned out pretty well.

Next day though, he didn't look very good. We got to sing the snowman song all the days he was melting. 

My Birthday 1-14-2016

Matt got me a birthday card for my birthday.

Called my mother in-law the day before and asked if she would watch the kids for while I went for a swim on my birthday. She graciously said yes. First swim of the new year and it felt great. It was harder to have to pack the kids up and take them to a sitter, before going to work out, but hey, I still got to go.

We ended up going out to dinner at Archibald's.

It was a nice getaway as my birthday mostly sucked in the afternoon. I got news that an outing I was looking forward to had gotten double booked and was needed to be rescheduled, which actually never happened anyway.
