2-19-2017 - Church, Secret Beach (paddle boards and kayaks), Sea Turtles, Pali Lookout

We woke up Sunday morning and went to church, well sacrament meeting, and then went back to the house and got ready to go to Secret Beach through Kualoa Ranch. They provided paddle boards, kayaks, volleyball nets, lounge chairs, and hammocks on their beach.

It was nice and relaxing, but the weather was the cloudiest and coolest morning of our whole trip. But it turned out perfect for us to be on the beach that early afternoon.

After Secret Beach, we headed to the other side of the island to visit Disney Aulani (for Matt's benefit since we didn't stay there). On the way to the other side of the island, we stopped at Nu'uanu Pali Lookout. It was so so so windy there. You could practically lay on the wind and not fall over for a few seconds.

It ended up tearing the stitching in Abbie's wrap around skirt.

After Nu'uanu Pali Lookout, we headed over to Disney Aulani. It just seemed to be a big hotel with the name Disney on it. We walked into the lobby and didn't find anything that was worth the hefty price that it came with that our eyes could see anyway. After our stop, we went hunting for sea turtles. Matt was able to find a person's blog that described a hidden beach with access from a neighborhood. We tested it out and sure enough there were two sea turtles on the beach. They were pretty big and we followed the guidelines for interaction, which is basically don't interact, give them alot of space, and don't bug them.

After the Sea Turtles, we continued up the road thinking we could drive all the way around the island. We were sorely disappointed when we ran into a wilderness road with very large pot holes. We had to turn around and head back the way we came.

We ended up at a Brick oven pizza place to have dinner.

It was a nice relaxing day with some fun spots we were able to find and hang out at.
