Softball Champs!!!!

So I have been playing softball with the same team for about 4 years now. Before I started playing softball, I didn't know I would like it so much.

Well this year my team, The Dirtbags, went undefeated. So we won the championship. I dragged Matt to my game, so he could take pictures and help me share in the happy moment. My mom and niece Kasiah also came to watch. It is so funny how much my niece understands about the game.

Matt took some pictures of me playing catcher, hitting, the team with our trophy, and of me and Kasiah together.

Me playing catcher. I also play 2nd base and right field too.

Getting ready to hit.

There goes the ball. (Small green thing that is a blur)

My team posing for a team picture with our trophy.

Champions T-Shirt

Me and Kasiah, who is wearing my champion t-shirt and the team trophy! Yeah, it was a lot of fun and we had some really close and good games.

Soccer

I get to play soccer every once in a while with my sister Chelsey and people that she knows. The weird thing is I love soccer and have been playing all my life, but have NO friends that play soccer. I had to wait for Chelsey to get out of high school so I could play. I had to wait 5 years actually because she is that much younger than me.

Well I got Matt to come to my game. Notice how I did not saw I got him to come watch my game. He doesn't really like organized sports. Well he brought a chair and his book. At half time, I had to remind him to take pictures of me playing and to stop reading. Now that we were on the opposite end of the field and the opposite side he was siting on, as I like to play left defender. The pictures were the best action shots.

So here are a couple of pictures. Thanks Matt for taking them!

Here is the action shot of me going after the ball.

The Last Week

Life has been a little busy for Matt and me. Well probably because I make it busy.
Matt and I have been working out together. We have been doing P90x. If you don't know what it is, it is a set of workout videos that kick you into shape. We are doing the Lean Program. You work out 6 days a week for 13 weeks. You also sweat like crazy. I mean sweat dripping off your nose. We have completed 3 weeks of the 13 weeks. 10 weeks to go and hopefully we will be able to see a difference! It makes me really hungry and I crave meat alot, which is odd as I don't like meat. Well in 10 more weeks I will let you know if it is worth it or not.

We also got our car back from being fixed. The car wouldn't go into reverse. Something that you need a car to do, so we had to get it fixed. Well $2000.00 later and the transmission is now fixed. Yeah! I won't have to wake up at 6:00am and have Matt take me to work anymore.

We also got a crib from my sister, Lyndsay, and Matt got it put up yesterday. He tried before, but some of the screws weren't long enough and he needed to fix a couple of things. So we now have a crib up. Before you ask, no prospects on adoption yet. But we are still praying, hoping, and networking as much as possible. We will be watching our niece, Arlee, for a week while her parents go on vacation. It should be interesting as I still have to work and Matt's school starts that week.

I post how it goes or doesn't go! Wish us luck!

Our new nephew, Jairus!

We have a new nephew. Matt's brother, Brian, and his wife Amy had there baby while we were gone on our camping trip. The funny thing is we were suppose to watch their daughter, Tali, when he came. But he was two weeks early and we were camping, so we didn't get to watch Tali. Here are two pictures of him with us. He weighed only 5lbs. 2oz. Very small.

First Camping Trip of 2010

We went camping this past weekend with our best friends David & Kristen, their two girls - Gracie and Kate, and her parents and brother Shawn.

We went to a place called Fish Lake by Richfield, Utah. It was fun, but it rained most of the time and Gracie and Kate were sick and had a horrible night on Friday night. David was going to be going fishing, so we bought Matt a Year fishing license and a new pole. They went out fishing at least three times together and Matt went out two times by himself. Gracie was the first to catch a fish. Just the right size for her.

David also caught a small fish on Sunday morning before we left , but threw it back. Matt wasn't so lucky. A fish caught Matt and stole his fishing pole. Yep! The fish stole Matt's fishing pole. If you want the whole story, you will have to ask him the next time you see him.

Saturday night it finally decided to clear up so we could eat dinner. We had ribs, potatos, and biscuts. Some people also had fish. Kristen's dad, Doug, we to the marina and was standing at the dock when he saw one of his friends. His friend took pity on our little group and gave him three fish. Yuck! I hate fish and Kristen agrees with me, but everyone else enjoyed it.

I took the girls on walks alot. Matt joined me in for the last walk on Saturday night. Gracie was so cute and talked for most of it. We even saw three deer. They are the brown spots in the background.

Well that is all for this camping trip, but we have two more sccheduled for this year. So I will post when we have gone on them.

Disneyland 2010

It has been 10 years since Matt and I went to Disneyland. The last time we went was in 2000 our senior year of high school. So I figured since Matt graduated as Radiology Technologist in May and it was our 6 year Anniversary and he was going to start school again this August for MRI/CT at Weber State and any other reason I could think of, we would go to Disneyland. As it is Matt's favorite place on Earth and that is where he wanted to go.

So I booked the hotel rooms and purchased the tickets and told Matt what we did in Disneyland was up to him. Later would I realize 5 days in Disneyland straight was a little too much for me.

So we started our trip out with a drinkable lunch from Jamba Juice. It was a little windy!

We stopped in Las Vegas on our way down, so we wouldn't have to drive straight through. Not the best idea as we both don't like Las Vegas at all.

We arrived to Disneyland on Sunday, but Matt wanted full days at Disneyland, so we went to a very small beach a little bit away from Laguna Beach. It was great because parking was only $1.00 per hour and it wasn't crowded at all. We arrived at dinner time, so we ate at the small cafe and then went for a walk. It was fun and we found a hole in the rock which was pretty cool.

We spent the rest of the week at Disneyland and California Adventures but I consider them both the same as you can park hop back and forth. Also who ever thought up the fast passes was a genius. They just need to add it for a couple more rides and Disneyland would be that much more fun.

So here is our trip in pictures mostly.

While we were at Disneyland, Matt saw someone wearing a Madd Hatter hat. So he kept thinking he would buy one. We found one the first day we were there, but didn't find one again until the fourth day. We even asked shops randomly around Disneyland and were told they didn't have any anywhere. Well as you can see in this picture, we found one and people want to take their picture with Matt so I took one to prove it. Also I thought I would try on the hat. You will have to agree that Matt looks much better in it. Someone even said he has the eyes for it.

We had alot of fun together. Matt surprised me with dinner at the Blue Bayou, premier tickets to the World of Color Water Show, and Fantasmic.

Happy 6th Anniversary!

4th of July Fireworks!

My family loves to see fireworks. We went to see the Sugar House Fireworks on July 3rd with my sister - Chelsey, two nieces - Kasiah and Arlee, our cousin, Cymbre, and my mom. Matt was the only guy with us, but I am glad he was there to cuddle with.We have done this since I can remember. We were right under the action!

Guess What?!?

I am starting a blog. Weird huh.... Yep...me.... This will help keep everyone up to date and hopefully another avenue for our adoption hopes!
