Our Family Maddness: July 2014

July 4th - Independence Day

We celebrated the 4th of July with a BBQ at my sisters with her in-laws, my parents, and my in-laws. Kara and Leili swam for awhile until Kara puked in the pool.

Shawn got out his motorcycle and let my dad and Matt both take a turn riding. I didn't watch.

Can't wait for the 24th when Chelsey will be here with the girls.

Week with the Monson family

Well with the Monson 50th Anniversary on June 27th, we had family in from California and Oregon. Kristine and Trent got to stay with us.

We had fun the 5 days they were here. Matt and Kristine even stayed up till 2am one morning and I had to tell them to go to bed.

We had a pizza night with the family the first night, Wednesday, they were here. Kara got to do bubbles for the first time. She also ate the bubble mix.

Thursday - Trent and Kristine watched Kara so Matt and I could go see Transformers. They also took her out to eat at the Italian Village for Pizza Benders. I also got a pedicure and a manicure from my sister.

Friday - 50th Anniversary prep and party

Saturday - We relaxed and we went to Leatherby's for Dinner and Dessert. We also went and feed the ducks.

Sunday - We had a family BBQ. Kara didn't go to bed on time for the 5 days, so when we finally got home on Sunday night, she crashed.

Monson 50th Anniversary Party

My in-laws had their 50th Anniversary this year, so we decided to throw a party to celebrate. It was alot of work and coordination, but it turned out to be successful and we got the family all together at one time. So of course we had to have pictures down.

June 25 2004 -

Memories -

We were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 25, 2004
It was a very hot day.
I slept through my alarm for my hair appointment. My mom actually had to wake me up.
My maid of honor was my best friend Jon.
My brides maids were my sisters, Lyndsay, Chelsey, and Kali
Matt's best man, were actually 4 - Jared, Nic, David, and Brandon
My brother wore his tuxedo to the Temple. So cute!
My little nephew, Sam, was only 2.
My dress was hot.
We had our wedding luncheon at Joseph Smith Memorial Building. I ate as many strawberries as I want. I still own my dress that I wore to the luncheon.
After the luncheon, Matt and I actually split up - he went to pack for our honey moon and I went and took a nap.
Our reception line was long because we had our wedding party stand in it. Not recommended.
My "man of honor" and husband were both standing next to me, so a few people got confused at who was my actual husband.
I designed my wedding reception decor after the Blue Bayou at Disneyland
Didn't actually eat any food at the reception, so we went out to a fast food restaurant in our wedding clothes for take out.
Spent our honey moon at the Inn at Temple Square, which no longer exists.
Matt's parents meet us the next morning at 10:00am to let us borrow their car for our honey moon in Oregon and to pick up my wedding dress and Matt's tuxedo.
