6-22-2018 - Horse adventure - Perfectly popped tire on Freeway

We were planning to go riding up at Strawberry River. We were headed there and the trailer ended up getting a blow out. It happened as we were driving up Parley's canyon. Luckily it happened at the perfect spot. We were able to pull over into a construction zone at a closed off exit ramp.

Why was it the perfect spot - alot of construction workers were around and I knew one of them. It was my best friend Tyler Harris from 9th grade. He had a construction hat on and sun glasses, but I recognized his voice and his facial features. We ended up being able to help him and his family out by having them over to Hope Ranch later.

To fix the trailer we had to unload the horses. Yes, we unloaded the horses on the side of the freeway. Well the horses did great. We were able to take them across the frontage road which we could access as the fence had been taken down for the ramp construction. We had access to a field behind a LDS church.

The construction workers fixed the tire for us. Terri brought the truck and trailer over to the church so we could load the horses back into the trailer.

We ended up not going riding but going back down to Salt Lake. It wasn't a disappointing day, it was a day to watch how Heavenly Father kept us safe and pop the tire at the perfect spot.
