Thanksgiving Point has $2 Tuesdays in August. I like to go once a year to utilize this nice program, but usually only hit the Gardens since they are outside and alot of people can be there without it feeling too claustrophobic or stuffy. Kali wanted to try Farm Country, so we did.
I watched Kyla in the morning for about 1 1/2 hours while Kali and Leili went to Leili's preschool orientation. Kyla wasn't the happiest little girl since she was tired, but we made it through it with me getting to cuddle her most of the time.
After Kali got back, we headed down to Farm Country and had our lunch before going in.We also tried on hats before going to see the animals. It was okay for the $2, but I would rather go to Wheeler Farm where is it alot bigger with more area to walk and shade, but once a year and for $2 it was just fine.
The kids got a pony ride with their ticket entry, so we decided to wait in line. It took about 1/2 an hour to get through the line, but while waiting someone gave us 2 more tickets, so Leili and Kara got to ride the ponies for a second time at the very end.
Logan's first pony ride and he loved it. He wasn't quite sure about it at first, but didn't want to get off when it was time, so I figure that is a success.
We also went on a wagon ride. There wasn't much to see but the kids enjoyed it and it was nice to sit down in the shade and rest while getting to see something new.

2nd pony ride right before we left. It went pretty well except Leili had a little fit and hit Kali, which meant no treat and made Leili have another fit. Its so fun as a mom to try and do new things for your kids and end the trip with a fit. Kara had a fit before we got in the car cause she wanted something else too. Tired kids make for great partners of fun.
We did have a nice day, but it was good to go home and put kids down for naps. At least at my house, since Leili hasn't napped in forever.
