7-4-2015 - Independence Day

We started off the day intending to go to Silver Lake by Brighton Ski Resort and do a morning hike thinking no one would be up there. Well were we wrong...they had a parade and a breakfast. So we decided to park it on the rode, pull up a blanket, and watch the parade. Then we went for a lovely stroll around the lake. Everyone else had the same idea too. 

We strolled the lake and then luckily got a picnic table to our large group to eat at. The kids also had fun playing on the rocks, except of course Kara and Leili were at each others throats every once in a while. 

We had a BBQ at my mom's afterwards. Everyone else went to the fireworks and we went home. We meandered over to the neighbors to watch their firework show and then had the kids in bed by 10pm as we had Logan's baby blessing the next day to be well rested and prepared for.
