Halloween 2014

Well, we kept our tradition alive with the Elswoods. We have been trick or treating together for the past 7 years and haven't missed a year yet. Matt had to go to work on Halloween, so the Elswoods came down to our house for dinner and trick or treating.

We invited Kali and Leili to go with us this year as Shawn was working until 7:00pm and we didn't want her to be alone.

I took Kara to Harmons to trick or treat first and show off our costumes this year. We announced we were having another baby by having a family theme of "One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish." I was the blue fish and my baby bump was the "two fish". Kara was one fish and Matt was red fish. I came up with the idea and found the shirts. Matt did the work on making the iron-on designs from the book cover and putting them on the shirts.

I did make Kara's tutu with Kali's help though.

We had pizza for dinner and then went out for trick or treating. We only lasted about 45 minutes to an hour, but the kids had fun and lots of treats were in their bags.

Right before we split up for the evening, Matt wanted to put on his comic con costume he had made and trick or treat a little more with Kara.

It was hard as he couldn't help with Kara at all in carrying her or helping her to the doors, but we had fun nonetheless and Kara was tuckered out at the end of the night and so was I.
