Well, we hit Disneyland for a 3rd day in a row. It was Friday and forecasted to be a very busy day. So our plan was to hit the shows and be more mellow. Plus it was mine and Matt's date night. My mom was going to take the kids back to the hotel while we stayed out late.
We wanted to see the new Frozen Show that replaced the Aladdin show at the Hyperion Theater. We planned to go to the 11:35am show, but needed to show up early enough to get Fast Pass. We rode the tractor while Matt went to get the passes.
We went on Luigi's Rollickin Roadsters. It looked like a pretty mellow ride. Well we hadn't seen the end of it and the cars just spin in a circle really fast. Almost killed my mom and me off for the rest of the day. Such a great thing to have motion sickness so easily. NOT!
Logan and I went on the Monsters Inc. ride while waiting for the others to go on CARS. This was the first ride they waited in line for without having a fast pass or a stroller swap pass. It had said a 30 minute wait but ended up almost being an hour wait and almost missing the time for us to go in the fast pass line for the Frozen show.
We found Lightning McQueen going on his way back to off stage area.
We also watched Matter too.
We rode the Heimlich Choo Choo train while we waited.
Matt, Kara, and my mom on CARS. They finally got through the standby line.
We finally made it over to wait in line for the Frozen show with about 5 minutes to spare.
Logan was so tired he ended up falling asleep in my arms while we waited.
Waiting for the show to start. We had to wait an extra 20 minutes because they kept saying there were technical difficulties. Which was weird since it was the first show of the day.
The show was pretty awesome and we had pretty good seats.
This is the view of the Tower of Terror as we left the theater.
Matt and Logan riding the Ladybug ride in Bugs Land while we went to ride CARS.
My mom, Kara, and I used the fast passes that we had to ride CARS. We were definitely later than the time allowed but the guy let us by probably because we had Kara and he asked if she really wanted to go on the ride and she said yes. Then we also asked for a swap pass and they gave us that too. Helps to have such a cute little daughter.
Matt and Logan on Flick Flyers while we rode CARS.
Kara hugging Flick. It was nice that he actually stop and we didn't have to wait for him to be in his "spot".
As we exited California Adventures to go to Disneyland for the rest of the day (yes we park hopped), we found Mickey's brother at the entrance and stood in line to get a couple pictures.
When we got into Disneyland, we decided to stand by the BIG pumpkin for a picture. Logan learned to say pumpkin while standing in line for pictures and says it multiple times a day when he sees it.
Matt hung out with Logan while we went to ride Splash Mountain. He stopped off at the train and Logan got to be a conductor.
Riding Splash Mountain. Kara's favorite ride.
Stopping to see catch a quick picture with Winnie the Pooh on the outside of the ropes before heading over to The Royal Theater to watch Tangled.
Kara waiting to watch Tangled. Logan didn't last very long on the mats, so I took him out for a walk.
We ended up inline to see Belle and get our picture with her.
A quick family picture in front of the castle.
Kara's last ride of the night before my mom took them back to the hotel for a late dinner and so Matt and I could have a date night at Disneyland.
We took a couple quick pictures in Disneyland before heading over to eat at Pacific Wharf so I could have my bread bowl or my soup and a BIG roll.
Picture at Pacific Wharf so I could have my bread bowl. I had this on our 6th anniversary trip and had wanted to eat it again.
That is the moon in the back ground over CARS ride. It was nice and bright and full on our date night.
Front row seats to ride CARS. We hadn't been on this ride together yet.
We used our stroller pass to ride it again and ended up getting stuck in the ride for about 10-15 minutes, so they let us go around again without getting out of the car.
I tried to get a picture of us in the mirror, but didn't have my phone out in enough time.
We headed back over to Disneyland to spend the last 2 hours of our date getting on as many rides as possible. We hit the haunted mansion ride together.
Capturing pictures in front of the castle before heading back to the hotel.
It was so nice to be able to spend a date night with Matt. The BEST part for Matt was that it was in Disneyland. He loves this place so much, which is why we ended back here twice in 1 year!
