Family "Gender" Reveal Party - 11-10-12

We wanted to have a "Gender" Reveal Party to announce what the baby was going to be, so we set up 2 different reveal parties, one for our family and one for our friends.

The family reveal party was on 11-10-2012. We wanted to have a little fun on how we announced the gender besides just having the bear tell everyone, so we also put up balloons, had cupcakes, and fortune cookies. All ways that could reveal what we were having. We arrived a little early to set up our little surprise.

We had the family reveal party at my parent's house. Two of my sisters, Kali and Chelsey, were there along with my parents and my brother Jake. Matt's brother, Brian and his family, along with his parents were there.

We had pizza first, because we were waiting for Jake to arrive. This left everyone being a little curious.

Table is set before everyone got there.
The presents are from my mom - depending on what you have is what you get to open.

Cupcakes - iced to reveal what the baby would be...not really  though.

Fortune cookies in front of the bear that is holding the secret to our treasure.

Us in front of the fun we have planned for our families.

Matt took over the part of announcer and had fun saying "an item on this table will reveal what we are having". Everyone had an interesting time trying to figure out the "item" that would reveal the secret.

Hans finally caught on and even had a tug of war with Matt for the Bear.

We had Arlee, our 3 year old niece, come up and push the bear's button to reveal we were going to be having a girl.
Matt and the bear ready to announce.

Me and Matt with the bear

Matt, me, Arlee, and the bear

Arlee's response was priceless. She cried and ran over to her mom and hid behind her leg. I got her response on video. She was crying because she thought she was getting a baby sister and had been wanting a baby brother.

After we revealed, we were having a girl, Matt opened the "girl" present from my mom.

Its a Girl - 11-6-2012

We got to find out what the baby was on Tuesday, November 6th. We were hoping for a boy, but were surprised that we would be having a girl.

We had been discussing for a couple of months how we would announce the gender of the baby and thought we could make an event out of the announcement. We also wanted to have a memory of the finding out, so we decided to go to Build-A-Bear at Fashion Place Mall.

First we had lunch at Sabarros. Fantastic Pizza!

Second, we poked around the shops to look at baby clothes.Notice these are boys clothes. Still shocked, we were having a girl as Matt was hoping for a little boy at the time.

Third, onto building a baby bear to announce to the world what we were having.

Took awhile to agree on the bear we wanted, but we decided on this cuddle little on.

Next add the stuffing.

Matt took over this job of stepping on the pedal

Time for a bath.

Matt needed the practice before the baby actually comes.

After the Bear was washed, we made sure our little secret was safe inside announcing what our baby would be. We also had a fun time picking out an outfit as everything girly had pink on it or was too frilly.

Finally the Bear was ready for the announcement to our Friends and Family of what we would be having.

Real Soccer Game 11-8-2012

We went to a Real Soccer game with Chelsey and Hans on 11-8-2012.

We had a lot of fun hanging out. The weather was a little chilly, but beautiful! Not to mention the next day it snowed like crazy!

Watch her grow

With having such a hard time getting pregnant, we had many ultra sounds to make sure everything was progressing properly.

Watch her grow through ultra sounds -

8-9-2012

8-9-2012

8-17-2012. - Its a BABY!
10-9-2012 - Definitely looks like a blob, but shows a growing baby.

11-6-2012 - Its a GIRL!

11-6-2012 - Foot

11-6-2012 - Caught her sucking her thumb!

11-6-2012 - She didn't want her picture taken. Arching her back in defiance.

1-14-2013 - Picture Perfect at 31 weeks old.

Nov. 17th - My thoughts about HER.

My daughter in heaven sent down from Him.
A precious gift patiently waiting for her time to join our little family.
Long have we waited.
Long have we planned .
Not knowing when you would come into our waiting hands.
Precious little one...please know that we care.
We have waited so long for you to be here.
Please have patience as you learn and grow as we don't really know what we are doing.
We love you more than you know.
We can't wait for you to come so we can see and hold you in our arms.

First Doctor Appointment for Baby - July 26th

Went to the doctor's appointment this morning at 9:20am. We were a little late and I was worried and nervous so I got a little snappy at Matt. Plus I almost got us hit by a car by not looking both ways when I drove into the wrong parking lot. I thought I was supposed to be 6 weeks today, but only the "yoke" should up in the ultra sound. Doctor Branch wasn't determined one way or the other if it was a false pregnancy or if I was off on my dates and the embryo will show up on my next appointment. Made the appointment for Friday, August 3rd at 4:00pm. Matt has to work and won't be able to be there with me. At least I was brave enough to let him come to this appointment as I have never had him come in the past. I don't know whether to cry my eyes out or just think it is our place to learn patience or find the silver lining in the situation like we have been doing so much the past couple of years in all situations that aren't happy.

At least there is the "yoke" in my uterus, but I was really hoping to see the heart beating so my heart could start beating with it. Well tonight is Kali's baby shower so happiness is what I pick as I won’t take this day from her. Hoping everything works out for us to have our own baby.

Praying for peace and strength through Heavenly Father as he has the power to make anything possible.

Found out we were pregnant on July 16th

Matt was in disbelief when I told him I was pregnant.

Perfect thanksgiving day 11-22-12

We woke up at 9 and watched Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade.
During which Matt made his self-proclaimed famous yams.
After the parade we had lunch, a smoothie that I made. While Matt was still
making the yams, I soaked in the tub and then showered. Don't like washing me
hair in tub water. After that Matt and I finished getting ready.
We went over to Matt's parents and had turkey dinner with them and Brian and Amy and Jairus and Tali. Nice quite evening. Brian and Amy left at 6 for her family's turkey dinner. I finished looking through the ads and found a couple items I wanted to get at Michaels, Wal-Mart, and Target. Michaels was a breeze. Wal-Mart
was a complete joke. Target had a line but we were in and out quickly. We then
went back and watched the amazing Spider-Man with Matt's parents. Got home about 1am. Perfect relaxing day with Matt. Missed those types of days!!
Now it is time to sleep and get ready for our big move.

Matt goofying off at Michaels.

Matt taking a nap while waiting to go shopping at our next destinations.

We bought our fridge the day before Thanksgiving.
I told Matt what style I wanted and he researched what type to get.

Pie! The only kind of pie I like has to have gram cracker crust, because the regular crust just doesn't taste very good. Matt's mom surprised me and made my favorite pie, Lemon Meringue Pie w/ Gram Cracker Crust.
Yummy!
