1-17-2017 - Mother daughter date

I needed a mommy daughter date with Kara, so I asked Matt's mom to watch Logan while I took Kara out for Frozen Yogurt and to see "Sing". We had a fun time and Kara even danced during the last part.

Logan fell asleep on the way home from Bonka's house. Such a cute little man.

1-15-2017 - Family Dinner at Matt's parents

I caught Matt sleeping during Sunday school and took a picture of him. We headed over to Matt's parents after dinner to celebrate my birthday with them. She was great and made lemon pie tarts, but I couldn't stomach eating them. The last time I ate them I got sick on Thanksgiving (not from eating them), but from the stomach flu that hit our family on Thanksgiving. But I have a hard time with food after wanting to throw it up.

Book time with Papa before heading home for bed time.

1-14-2017 - Abbie 35th Birthday

Matt was off for my birthday, so he let me sleep in. When I got up, we traded places and he took a nap. He had the kids get me a mug that was huge, along with lemon heads and hot chocolate with sea salt caramel. So delicious!

Took a birthday morning picture with Kara and Logan. So weird that it was only 4 years ago that I was in the hospital, pregnant with Kara, after we had gotten in a car wreck. Our lives are totally different in those 4 years.

While the kids were down for a nap, I went out to the horses for some alone time.

Playing with Bubble.

We took the horses out into the snowy field as it wasn't the safest environment with the snow melting off the arena. It was fun and I was able to use my new boots.

Terri playing with Johanna. She sure had some bucks in her that day!

I helped Terri feed the horses.

After hanging out with the horses, I came home and got ready for my birthday dinner and double date with Turkey and Alan.  We went to Long Horn Steakhouse. The food was really good, but it took them quite a bit of time to get the food to us though.

Turkey and Alan.

After dinner, we went bowling. Lets just say we waited longer for the bowling lane then we actually bowled.

We still had fun. It was a bit of a crappy spot since we were seated so far away from the alley, but we made the most of it.

Our scores of the finally two games. Matt didn't have the best games. He said he doesn't even think he has gotten past 100 before. Oh well, name of the game is to have fun.

Group shot after all the bowling was over. It has been forever since we have been on a double date together.

Thanks for the birthday fun!

1-13-2017 - Random Day

I've been having problems with my eyes and it had been so long since my last eye exam, I decided to head to the eye doctor. New insurance meant I couldn't go to the person I've been to in the past so off to a totally new place.

They said I have astigmatism and that is why I can't see clearly also my left eye is a bit worse that my right eye. They gave me some pretty fancy glasses to wear home.

Got home and let the kids play in the bath tub for an hour. They love bubbles and taking a bath in my tub.

I didn't want to stay home that night so we went to my mom's for dinner and also made oatmeal cookies batches, some with raisins and some with chocolate chips.

While I was cooking the cookies, Logan got his fingers stuck in the chimney for the doll house. I couldn't help but laugh, take a picture, and then get his fingers loose.

Logan loved eating the cookie dough, but Kara wasn't a fan of it.

1-8-2017 - Sunday family day, plus family birthday dinner

This was our first Sunday of the year that we were home and our church start time is now at 11am. So nice not to be rushed as we got ready for church. I had extra time to do Kara's hair. It turned out so cute, but we had to keep reminding her to not be rustling around so much at church. She is quite a fidgety little girl.

After church, we came home and had naptime. We ended up having to wake the kids up to go to my mom's for family dinner. Mine and Kasiah's birthday dinner.

After dinner, the kids had so much fun dancing in the big room while we sat around and talked.

After the kids were in bed, we did something different than watching TV. We took out a jar of question that I had made at a relief society activity and asked each other the question and then answered it ourselves.

We only asked 8 questions, but talked for 2 hours. We are trying to change things up to make sure we stay in honeymoon mode with having 2 small kids.
