3-13-2015 - Date with Matt

I woke up on Friday, March 13th like I needed a date with Matt before we had two little ones to take care of. So I called his mom and asked her if she would take Kara for a couple hours while we went to dinner and to a movie. 

We dropped her off about 5:00, ran over to the movie theater and bought tickets to Cinderella. We then headed over to Dickie's BBQ for a quick dinner and back to the movie theater right before the movie started. It was a nice relaxing movie and fun to watch. I got a little hot though, but survived. 

2-24-2015 - First Beater and Park Day

I was really craving chocolate and we didn't have any on hand, so I decided to make brownies from scratch. Matt's mom has the best homemade brownie recipe...I can't wait to actually be able to eat the batter again!

So I made the brownies and let Kara and Matt have the beaters.

We also went to the park later that afternoon, but didn't stay to long as it was a bit chilly.

2-21-2015 - Blue sucker and Dance Party

We had taken Kara to see the dermatologist and she was given a blue sucker. I told her she could have it after lunch. She enjoyed it immensely and Matt took some pictures while I was swimming. She randomly will talk about her blue tongue. 

We also went to the Ward Family Dance party that night. Kara had a fun time with the music and especially the balloons that were on the floor. She did a lot of dancing but every time Matt got his phone out to record her, she wouldn't dance. Here is a small clip of her moving to the music.  

2-20-2015 - Crazy Kara Day

2-20-2015 Was a crazy day with Kara for me. Got her up and she was soaking wet from a long night sleep, so I was going to put her in the bath before breakfast. Well, lets just say after I stripped her down, I sent her on her way to my bathroom to get in the tub. I should have put her straight on the toilet, because I was scrubbing the carpet 2 minutes later and she had peed on the carpet. An hour later, I was putting her laundry away in her closet and I came out to having found her drank a suppository. So I got to call Poison Control for the first time. No bad side effects, they just said it was the same as going up as it was going down. 

Another hour later, I was paying bills and thought I smelt baby powder. I thought to myself, no that can't be. Well I decided to go check on Kara and found I had smelt baby powder. She was so happy, "Mom, medicine, play." I just smiled snapped a couple pictures and got the vacuum. 

Luckily that night, Laura, was coming over to hangout and catch up before she and Charlie move to Texas. It was a nice thing to be able to look forward to and to recount the days fun activities to her!

Oh boy, if this is what she is going to be like with a baby around, I might need a couple time outs for myself!

Park Day 2-19-2015

2-18-2015 - Watching Dadda take down Christmas Lights while it is warm in February

 Shelving is done. Now time to get everything into the storage area.

2-19-2015 - Weather was nice, so we did yard work. 

2-23-2015 - Ready for a walk. Her dad suggested the slippers for it,
so she had to ride in the stroller.

Valentine's Day Week

I worked 5 days at the Harmons Floral Distribution Center from 2-10-2015 to 2-14-2015, so we had quite a busy week. Matt was also working, so Matt's mom watched Kara for me on Tuesday and Wednesday while I worked 8:30 - 1pm. Matt had Kara Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Let me tell you it was an adjustment to working 5 days. I am glad I only do it once or twice a year when needed and I am available to do so. My body was pretty beat on Tuesday and Wednesday that I needed a late night nap, plus I am 34 weeks prego, so that could be part of it.

On Thursday, 2-12-2015, when I got home we had lunch, went to a park, and then came home and did some yard work in the backyard. I was in a t-shirt and capris. Weird February weather!

On Friday, 2-13-2015, when I got home we had lunch again, took Kara to a park, and went and dropped off some items at the DI. Matt's mom came over after dinner so we could go to our Ward Temple night. It was nice that we could get to the Temple, but boy was I hot! I almost thought I was going to pass out a couple times, so we won't be going back again for a bit of time until after the baby comes. (5 weeks and 2 days to go).

On Saturday, 2-14-2015, Matt surprised Kara and I with Valentine presents. I knew he had gotten me something before I even went downstairs, because Kara was upstairs saying "Comin Mom, present."

I went to work for only 2 hours and left early as it was so slow on the phones. So I got to go swimming on the way home 1.2 miles. Hurray! I got home and Matt was just finishing up his work out and getting cleaned up when the power went out. We didn't know how long the power was going to be out, so once Kara got up from her nap, we got the cars out of the garage and went to Matt's parents. We ended up taking our cars in for emission and inspections, plus oil changes. While we waited for the cars to get checked out, we went on a walk with Matt's parents to the park. Kara had fun running around and playing on the slides.

Kara and I had Arby's for dinner and Matt had chicken. We finished out the night with watching Mr Peabody and Sherman with Kara.
