We MOVED!!!!

We MOVED....1 door down. We got an opportunity to move into a 3 bedroom town home, right next door to our 2 bedroom town home.

It is going to be really nice. Now that the neighbors are gone, we won't have to hear swearing and yelling while we are at home.

We will now officially have a baby's room. NOW, we just need a baby. We are still trying to ADOPT, so if you know of anyone, please give them our information.

We will have an office and workout room on the main level with lots of storage. I can probably start making more hair things and start more hobbies.

We want to THANK everyone who helped us move. We COULD NOT have done it without you.

THANK YOU - Chelsey, Hans, Amber Dawn, Mike, Ma & Pa, Brandon, Kim, David, and Turkey!!!

Something new to do

I found a new project that I like to do. My friend, Kristen, likes to try new projects and make things, so I tried one of the with my Young Women. Now I just like to do it for fun. I make little kids hair bows. These are my first attempts at it.

We are still alive...Lets catch up

So it has been a long time since I have posted. It was hard typing with only one arm and pictures wouldn't post so I gave up for a little bit. Plus Matt is a computer hog always doing homework.

So here is a recap of our lives and some pictures to go with it too.

Christmas was fun. (See the pictures below)

New Years we spent with our best friends, the Elswoods. We stayed over night as we often do because they live 45 minutes away. Matt stayed up all night playing video games. Kristen came down at 6am to find him still playing. I got the best night sleep that night because Kristen took their foam mattress pad off her bed and put it on the air mattress for Matt and I. Well, I slept on it that night and Matt took a five hour nap on New Years Day. Thanks Kristen. We hung out on New Years Day and watched a movie. Well, the girls watched a movie while the boys slept. It was so cute becuase Katie stayed on Matt's lap while he slept.

Matt started Spring semester and we have 6 weeks left of it. YEAH. He only has 9 months of school left and then we are done with homework and school!!!! Can't wait!!!

I started back to work on January 19th only working 4 hours a day for two weeks, but that has long since past, I am now working full-time again and loving the adventure of learning my new position. It is crazy and stressful, but fun at the same time.

My arm is gradually getting better too. Get to work it out for at least 1 hour each evening. Having fun being patient with not being able to carry much weight and getting my movement back. Patience!?! I love this lesson!
Here was one of the stylish dinners that I made with 1 arm.

Matt lost his fishing pole over the summer to a fish, so I bought him a new one. A new and improved one, notice his arm has a blue band around it, well it is attached to his pole. Now hopefully he won't lose it again.
New Year's Day - Katie wearing my socks. She kept slipping on them, but I thought she was really cute.
David made breakfast on New Year's Day
Matt is asleep and Katie just stayed on his lap. Katie and Gracie love their Mattie.
My birthday dinner. We made our own salads. I was tired and didn't want to go out and eat.

Stuff

Other things that have been happening...
The holidays are here....Pretty sure you didn't know that.

Matt is on break from school...Well he has been since December 2. His grades finally got posted and he got (5) A's and (1) A-. We were thrilled. He has always gotten A's since we have been married, but this semester he had 18 credit hours, lots of clinical hours to complete, homework, and still work part-time. I am so proud of him.
3 semesters left (11 months), but who is counting...ME!

We went to a holiday party with some friends...It was an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party. Matt won for wearing the ugliest sweater...and he got it out of his mom's closet, SORRY MOM! She was pretty upbeat even after we told her that Matt had won.

Shoulder Surgery...Life after

Life has been a little interesting as of late…back in August I found out that I needed to have shoulder surgery as my ligaments hadn’t grown properly. I would need some extra help as I wouldn’t be able to move my arm for at least 4 weeks. So we decided to wait until Matt was on break from school and have my surgery done in December. We set the date for December 10, and let the countdown begin.
Well during that countdown, I became Young Women’s President and also got another position at work.

Little stressful, but I had thought I had everything covered while I was off work and not able to do much for the young women. Well I hadn’t thought of the everyday details that would drive me to tears.

My top ten things that can bring me to tears on any given day:
10. Picking up my nieces and nephews
9. Wearing cute clothes, still trying to figure this out. Can’t raise my arm at all!
8. Going to work…Trust me… I miss it.
7. Being able to lay on my side…You know…curl up with a good blanket and a book. A little interesting
6. Having to wear a sling ALL the time. It is half of a straight jacket…Do NOT recommend it, at all!
5. Shaving…it is a problem, but getting the hang of it
4. Not being able to hug Matt. (We do side hug though)
3. Not being able to sleep very well
2. Not being able to drive
1. Not being able to do my hair by myself –I love a good ponytail

Well hopefully only 3 more weeks for some of these. I am counting down!!!

Our snowman pictures...Wishing you a merry snowday!

2nd Day Date - Snowman Building

During the second half of our 3 day date, Matt and I went to his parents house and built two snow people, one to represent his mom and the other to represent his dad.

We built two snow people in half an hour and they didn’t have a clue as they were in the basement watching a show.

So we decided to surprise them by ringing the doorbell and hiding. I got a picture of Matt’s dad peeking out the front door looking to see who had been ringing the doorbell.

Well after finally letting them know who had built the snow people we got pictures taken in front of them.

Take a look. It was funny trying to get Matt’s dad to kiss his snowman, he just kept laughing at me and kept saying no. Well as you can see he finally gave in.

Aren't Matt's parents such great sports!!
