Disneyland Trip - 3-6-2016 - 2nd Day at Disneyland

Sunday, March 6th - we hit Disneyland for the second time. We stopped at Disney California first so Matt could run over and get Radiator Springs fast passes. Then we headed over to Plaza Inn for breakfast with Minnie.

We picked Plaza Inn as it was suggested by multiple people that we would for sure see Minnie there. It was nice to be able to see Minnie and not have to wait in line, but I think when we do it again, we will pick the princesses or one of the character dining experiences outside of actual Disneyland, so we can have something to do on our rest day.

.
Also, I never knew how literal almost 3 year olds can be. We had been telling Kara we would have breakfast with Minnie, not thinking anything of it. Well after Minnie came over and said "Hi" right when we arrived and left, Kara started crying. I asked her what was wrong and she said "when is Minnie going to come and eat with I?" I felt so bad as she kept on asking. We had to explain to her that Minnie walks around and talks to everyone and she would be back again to visit with Kara while she ate. She was okay, but not quite satisfied with that answer.

I liked that it was a buffet style breakfast and all you could eat. Since Kara and Logan were under 3, we didn't have to pay for either of them. Nice how having young kids works out for our first time with them at Disneyland.

We also say Pooh.

Tigger came and greeted Logan and me while we waited for everyone else to get their food.

Chip and Dale came by. Matt can tell which one is which, but I have no idea.

Minnie came back to see us while we were eating. Kara enjoyed it immensely.

Max was at breakfast.

Chip or Dale came over.

Rafiki came over and Kara wasn't his biggest fan at all until we explained who he was and we had read about him in her book.

Kara wouldn't budge to go see Captain Hook until Bonka went with her.

Minnie to the rescue a 3rd time.

Logan was fascinated with her mouth.

Tigger bounced on over to us too. I think Logan liked him the best.

After Breakfast, we went over to Disney California for the day. We headed straight for Radiator Springs. Matt, Kara, Mom and Pops, went first while I waited with Logan. I then took my fast pass and went with Kara. She absolutely loved the ride.

We rode tractors, which were fun and didn't do too many circles to make me sick.

We rode Soarin. Matt had Logan this time while I went with the first group.

I talked Matt's parents to go on Tower of Terror with me and Kara came along too.

You can't really see Kara's face in this picture but she was crying the whole ride. She didn't like the ride and can tell you to this day she doesn't. It turned out to be one of Pops favorite. It is my absolute favorite ride, I love the feeling of my stomach dropping.

Matt took Kara and Logan on this ride and Logan hated it. He cried the whole time.

We ate lunch while Matt went and rode on the Tower of Terror by himself as Kara wouldn't go with him and we didn't want to use our stroller swap pass for anyone else to join him.

Kara got to meet Flick while waiting for Matt.

Our group waiting to go on the caterpillar ride in the Bugs Life area.

They wouldn't let Logan sit by me on this ride. He had to be on my lap and under the belt.

We hit the bumper cars, but not really as everyone was suppose to go the same way.

I dragged Pops to go on the Tower of Terror again.

Logan asleep in my arms during the "Crush show"

Ice cream for dinner, just because we can.

Ariel ride.

We got everyone to go on the Ferris Wheel. Mom didn't want to and sweated her palms off while we were in the air.

Matt and Kara on the carousel. We ended up staying ALL day at California adventures and not going back to the condo for naps. It was hard on the kids and the adults too as we got home back pretty late. They both were pretty much asleep before their heads hit the pillows.

After getting the kids in bed, Matt parents were kind enough to stay at the condo so we could go back for a date. We had 3 hours to ourselves. 1 hour in California Adventures and 2 hours in Disneyland.

Us on the tram back to Disneyland. I was tired just riding the tram.

Ready to ride Tower of Terror.

Radiator Springs ride. Our car won the race.

Tower of Terror for a 2nd time.

Back to Disneyland for the next 2 hours. We were able to hit so many rides without having the kids to flip flop back and for and everyone wanted to watch the fireworks that we had already seen a couple days before.

A photo with Goofy on the way out. We left after being there for  1 1/2 hours. We could have stayed longer which Matt would have liked, but I was so tired I could barely keep my eyes open.

Last picture of the evening. So nice to get away for a bit and have a quick date and time to ourselves.

Disneyland Trip - Beach & Rest Day 3-5-2016

Saturday, March 5th - we rested from our walking trips at Sea World and Disneyland. We had a relaxing morning with playing around the condo. Logan found a fun place to play on the table.

Logan had a morning nap. People went grocery shopping. Mom and Pops went to the hot tub. Matt took a morning nap because he stayed out too late at Disneyland the night before,

We had lunch at the condo and then packed up for the beach. We wanted to go to the beach that Matt and I had been to 6 years before, but we couldn't remember the name of it. We headed in the direction and general area where it was and ended up finding it - Aliso Beach Park. On the way to the beach, we say a huge white circus looking tent. I looked up what it was and found out it was a horse show called Cavalia Odysseo. I was a bit tempted to buy tickets, but found they were expensive.

We hit the beach and found out Logan didn't like the sand at all. So while Matt got set up with Mom and Pops, I took Kara down to the waves and water. The waves were huge, but we love playing in the water. I was the perfect afternoon though. Matt's not a fan of the beach, cause it has sand and cold water, but we love it.

Videos of Kara and I having fun in the waves.

Kara got her goggles on, so she could go wave surfing.

I pretty much pulled her around on the board when the waves came in. She loved it until she got flipped over and got a mouth full of sea water. She wasn't quite prepared for the salty taste, which I don't blame her for.

I took Logan for a walk along the beach, while Matt and Kara built sand castles.

I tried to get Logan to sit on the rocky shore above the sand and he didn't like that either as you can tell from the pictures.

Logan (after warming up to the idea of the sand) and Kara.

Kara playing with the sand toys from the condo. She loved it and would probably be a beach girl if we lived by one.

Monson family beach picture 2016. I love that Kara has goggles on.

I wish we could have done another beach day, but at least I got to have one!
